Branch Statement
The Branch Officers and Reps of Nipsa Branch 730 want to say a BIG BIG thank you to members who took strike action today and especially to those who joined other NIPSA members on picket lines. It was absolutely baltic, but the grit, determination and courage of our members shone through.
We want a decent pay award and we want safe staffing – basic demands that must be met.
We also want to mention the support from the public and local businesses which was incredible. Too many to mention, but to the individual who left 30 sausage rolls at the picket line at the RVH, to Applejacks for providing much needed sustenance to NIPSA members at Beech Hall, a very sincere thank you.
Our campaign continues, and for those thinking – what’s next? – we will soon be rolling out significant Action Short of Strike Action targeting specific work areas over the coming weeks into the New Year to get our message across.
